  1. Sun running SunOS and Dec running Ultrix

  3.     The "standard" condor is now version "4.1.3b".  This should run
  4.     on Sun 4, (SPARC) machines running SunOS 4.1 and above, and
  5.     DECstation 3100 and 5000 machines running Ultrix 4.3 and
  6.     above.  This verson is available only as source, and there are
  7.     a few caveats on building and installing it in the "fixes" file,
  8.     and the Mailing list archive.  Many folks around the world are
  9.     happily running this code for production, so don't let the
  10.     fixes file or the need to examine the archive scare you too
  11.     much.  If you want to build this version
  12.     please get:
  13.         Condor_4.1.3b.tar.Z
  14.         Condor_4.1.3b.fixes
  15.         Condor-World.Archive

  17. HP Risc running HP-UX 9
  18.     For HP Risc machines, we have "interim" version called 4.5.  This
  19.     is available as a binary distribution which is ready for
  20.     easy installation.  We can make those sources available if somebody
  21.     has a need - we're aren't hiding anything, we just haven't taken
  22.     the time to package them up.  Send mail if you need them.  The
  23.     binary distrib file is:
  24.         Condor_4.5_hp700.bin.tar.Z

  26. Condor Version 5 Alpha Testing
  27.     There are also some Version 5 files here, but please understand
  28.     that they are strictly "alpha" tests.  Please don't try to
  29.     build these versions unless you have a good reason, and have
  30.     talked to us first.  We hope to put out a more solid V5 condor
  31.     sometime "soon" (fall 94).  You can expect to see these for
  32.         DEC Alpha running OSF/1
  33.         Sun Sparc running SunOS
  34.         IBM R6000 running AIX3.2
  35.     with
  36.         HP running HPUX9
  37.     a bit later.  Once these are "solid" we will probably remove
  38.     the version 4 and 4.5 releases.

  40. Sun running Solaris
  41.     Many folks have asked about Condor for Solaris.  This situation is
  42.     that we would like to do the port, but need help with resources, i.e.
  43.     machines and or money.  If you can help, please let us know.

  45. SGI running IRIX
  46.     There have also been a significant number of requests for Condor
  47.     on SGI.  Here we have some collaborators who are attempting a port,
  48.     but have neither machines nor human resources to do it ourselves.
  49.     If our friends succeed, we will make that code available.  If you
  50.     are seriously interested in Condor on SGI, contact us and we will
  51.     discuss what could be done to make it happen.
